We've been buying Pampers through Amazon for the last 2.5 years and we are still thrilled w/ how quickly they arrive. The price is extremely competitive (and with gas prices going up it is actually cheaper to buy these thru Amazon if you count in gas money) and the convenience of the box of diapers on my doorstep is bar none. As long as we have diapers to buy, this will be the place to get them and Pampers will always be our diaper of choice - no leaks, snug fit, great with kids on the move.

At almost a quarter apiece, diapers cost a fortune. But having tested numerous brands on our three kids (read below), we're still loyal to Cruisers.
We've tried Pampers Baby Dry, Cruisers, Luvs, Huggies, Target's store brand, White Cloud (from Wal-Mart), and store brand at Meier (our local supermarket).
My overall experience has been best with Pampers Cruisers, for our boy-girl twins and our older son, who used to drink over 40 ounces a day and whiz like a horse.
Here's my experience with different brands.
Target's store brand just didn't hold as much liquid and weren't as soft as the name brands.
Meier store brand also leaked.
Huggies Supreme felt nice and were stretchy, but they left little gel pellets on the skin even when we changed diapers frequently. Plus they ran small, so we had to buy a larger size (which come fewer to a package and thus cost more per diaper).
Pampers Baby Dry didn't seem to absorb as quickly or as much as the Cruisers, which for us are pretty leak proof unless my husband changes the diapers (and leaves an entire half of the rear-end uncovered -- I'm talking an entire cheek hanging out).
Luvs (which are made by the same company as Pampers) absorbed a little less and had a funny smell to me when the babies wet them -- and they also didn't come as high up the waist as the Cruisers in the same size. That meant that the waist area of the clothing sometimes ended up wet. And did I mention the slight odor?
Now for the White Cloud. This brand's baby diapers also fell short of the Cruisers.
BUT for pull-ups for our older son, White Cloud are fantastic. (Pampers pull-ups often ripped at the sides while we were just putting them on, and they aren't Velcro, so they CANNOT be refastened. We loved Huggies pull-ups, but the White Cloud ones are cheaper and are as stretchy and absorbent as the Huggies.)
Between Target and Meier's sales and coupons, and Amazon's subscribe and save, I pay on average between twenty-three cents and a quarter per size 4 Cruiser. My most recent 116-count box at Target cost about twenty-three cents per diaper (that's including tax).
My most recent 100-count box with special discounts from Amazon ran me 25 cents per diaper. That's also what the 140-count box usually costs me through subscribe and save.
Update as of Dec. 2009:
Pampers recently introduced a new "Extra Protection" model, and (coincidentally?) at about the same time, the Cruisers don't seem to absorb as well during the night (ie. major leakage at the front waistline for my son, even with very careful diaper positioning and closure).
To save myself from changing the sheets plus an outfit in the middle of every night, I tried both Pampers "Extra Protection" and also Huggies "Overnights," just for bedtime.
They both hold a little more than Cruisers, which now cost us about 29 cents per size 5 diaper, but I found that the Huggies Overnights elimated the middle of the night wet spot. The Huggies feel slightly stiffer/harder and still sometimes leave a tiny bit of gel particles, but the bits now seem much smaller and fewer than the previous times I have tried the Huggies brand.
Conclusion: During the day we still use Pampers Cruisers and just for bedtime we use Huggies Overnights.

No leaking and less diaper rashes when we use these. Great at wicking away moisture so that baby feels dry. Holds up very well at night
Best Diapers for heavy wetters! April 20, 2008

These diapers really held up better than Dry Baby and Huggies for overnight. My son sleeps through the night (about 10 hours) and usually has a very full diaper in the morning. Leaks have been very minimal and the elastic around the legs is good but not too tight. My son loves the Sesame Street characters and I love having this big box shipped to my apartment so I don't have to lug around a big box from the grocery!
Big tip: order diapers from Amazon.com and select "subscribe and save" to not only save an additional 15% but also have them delivered on a regular basis! You don't have time to keep running to the store for diapers - spend that extra time with your newborn and let the diapers come to you!

This is a simple choice. That live and learn commercial should apply to these diapers. My sister has three children, she tried about every type out there and settled on these because they were the only ones that didn't "blow out." She is extremely cheap, so if she buys the more expensive diapers then you know they are worth it. We tried the ones in the hospital, but when we tried these we donated the others and never looked back. They don't cause diaper rash (and we have sensitive skin and can't use Huggies products). They don't leak (when we have two leaks in one week we know it is time to move up a size, we literally will go a month or more without a leak). And they stay on (well until our 30 month-old figured out how to remove them, but she is ready to potty train anyway). They are definately worth it!!
